Introducing... Supercoppa Italian Pilsner at Away Days Brewing

Supercoppa Pilsner is now available at Away Days Brewing in Portland, OR.

Inspired by the Italian soccer “Super Cup”, Supercoppa is a dry-hopped Pilsner built for the Northwest palette.

Supercoppa starts with Eraclea Italian Pilsner malt to give the unique and necessary Pilsner base while also lending a clean, cane sugar like perceived sweetness to balance the dryness and hop contributions.

Hopped with three expressive hops from three important hop regions of Europe. Saaz, from the Czech Republic, is possibly the most important hop to Pilsner brewing. It has an unmistakable herbal character found in the majority of classic Pilsners. Hallertau Blanc, from Germany, is a newer hop that brings a bit of grass along with the fruity, unique Sauvignon Blanc characteristics. Styrian Dragon, from Slovenia, adds a bright lemon component with some floral notes.

A moderate bitterness makes this beer extremely refreshing, especially with food, and leads to a second pint before long.

Curious about the can design? This one pulls reference from Italian team Inter Milan and their iconic blue and black striped kits.

Supercoppa Italian Pils is available on draft this weekend and in cans starting 12/16 at our taproom.
