We closed our Inner SE taproom and brewery this summer, to make the move to the Brooklyn neighbourhood, just five minutes South of our original location.
Two weeks ago we officially opened in our new home, and it feels so good! Our taproom is new but familiar, with ten rotating taps and cask ale. We’ve added more seating as well as a big beer garden in the back.
We’ve still got plenty of work to do in the space, get our system fully installed so we can start brewing beer, add our amazing food cart, finish decorating and get some heating installed to the covered patio. BUT! We’ve got beer (including some excellent guest taps) and you guys, and thats all that really matters. So come on down for a pint and a chat. We’ve missed you.
Q&A with Niki and Pete
Are you keeping the old Away Days off Hawthorne Blvd? No, we have officially closed that location.
Why did you move? Business never really came back to our little corner of 10th and Hawthorne since the pandemic. We really wanted to find a new home that was rooted in a community. Brooklyn is awesome! It’s still central enough to access easily, but has a real neighborhood feel and supportive community.
What was the building before? It was an old contractor/ painters workshop that had fallen into disrepair. Our good pals at Deform completely gutted it, fixed it up and turned it into your new favorite brewery.
What’s gonna be different from the last place? We’ll have the same styles of beer brewed by the amazing Marshall, but we will have more capacity to brew more efficiently. We also have slightly more seating inside and a massive beer garden with covered patio. A very special food truck will be announced soon! And most importantly two restrooms that aren’t right next to the bar!!
Will you be showing any live soccer? Yes, we will. We have one TV behind the bar and a projector outside under the covered patio. We will be sharing our live game schedule soon. If there’s any specific games or sports you want us to show please email Niki or DM us on Instagram.
What are your opening hours? To start with we’ll be open Tuesday- Thursday 3pm-9pm, Friday & Saturday 12pm-10pm and Sunday 12pm-8pm. We will be adding Mondays soon, plus we’ll be open early for EPL matches at the weekend depending on the schedule.
Are kids allowed? Yes kids are allowed. Please just remember they’re not permitted up at the bar.
Are dogs allowed?? No dogs inside, but well-behaved dogs are welcome on the back patio.
Are you still doing the run club? We sure are! The Runaway Club meets every Thursday @6:30pm for a 5K run. 9 min and 11 min mile pace. All are welcome.
